US-based banking giant Truist Financial has announced plans to open a Global Capability Center (GCC) in Hyderabad, strengthening its footprint in India’s technology and financial services hub.
The upcoming GCC is expected to create around 3,000 jobs over the next five years, significantly boosting employment opportunities in the region. Truist has reportedly invited bids from leading IT service providers to manage the setup, with Infosys emerging as a strong contender.
With the projected workforce strength, the GCC may require 300,000 sq. ft. to 500,000 sq. ft. of office space, making it one of the larger office leasing deals anticipated in Hyderabad’s commercial real estate market.
This move highlights Hyderabad’s growing importance as a preferred destination for global financial and technology firms establishing their capability centers.
