Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar announced on X (formerly Twitter) that the Namma Metro Pink Line, connecting Kalena Agrahara to Nagawara, will be operational by May 2026. The 13.76 km stretch is expected to significantly improve north-south connectivity across Bengaluru.
Once completed, the Pink Line will provide faster, more reliable transit for thousands of daily commuters, reducing traffic congestion on major arterial roads. The corridor will connect several key residential, commercial, and educational zones, further integrating with other Metro lines to enhance last-mile accessibility.
The project is part of Bengaluru Metro’s Phase 2 expansion, aimed at improving the city’s public transport network and easing urban mobility challenges. With this addition, the Bengaluru Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) continues to advance towards a more connected and sustainable urban transit system.
Our commitment to better connectivity continues!
