At BookNewProperty News, our mission is to provide homebuyers, investors, and industry stakeholders with accurate, timely, and data-driven intelligence regarding the South Indian real estate market. We cover infrastructure developments, government policy changes (RERA, BDA, HMDA), and market trends in Bangalore and Hyderabad.
This Editorial Policy outlines the standards and ethics that guide our reporting.
1. Editorial Independence
While BookNewProperty operates a commercial real estate consultancy service, our News & Articles division operates with editorial independence.
-
No “Paid News”: We do not accept payment from developers or agencies to publish news articles disguised as independent reporting. If content is sponsored, it will be clearly labeled as “Sponsored Content” or “Partner Story.”
-
Selection of Topics: Our editorial team selects stories based on their relevance to the market, public interest, and impact on property valuations—not based on our commercial inventory.
-
Objectivity: Our analysis of projects, locations, and price trends is based on market data, government records, and independent research.
2. Fact-Checking & Sourcing
We are committed to the highest standards of accuracy. Our reporting is grounded in verifiable data.
-
Primary Sources: We prioritize official notifications from government bodies (such as RERA Karnataka, HMDA, BMRCL), official court rulings, and direct press statements from listed developers.
-
Verification: All data points regarding price trends, square footage, and completion dates are cross-verified with official RERA filings whenever possible.
-
Rumors: We do not publish unsubstantiated rumors. If a story is developing and facts are unclear, we will explicitly state that the information is unverified.
3. Corrections Policy
We acknowledge that errors can occur. We are committed to correcting factual errors transparently and swiftly.
-
Reporting an Error: If you spot a factual error in our news coverage, please contact our editorial team at [email protected].
-
Correction Process: Once an error is verified, we will update the article immediately.
-
Retractions: In rare cases where an article is fundamentally flawed, we will retract the story and leave a transparent note explaining the removal.
4. Authorship & Accountability
-
Real Experts: All news articles on BookNewProperty are written by identifiable industry analysts and journalists. We do not publish content under anonymous pseudonyms like “Admin.”
-
No AI-Generated Journalism: While we may use tools for grammar checking, our news analysis and reporting are created by human writers with local market expertise.
-
Byline Integrity: Each article includes the author’s name and a link to their bio, outlining their expertise and credentials.
5. Conflicts of Interest
Our writers and analysts are required to disclose any potential conflicts of interest. If a writer has a direct financial stake in a specific project being covered (beyond general market investment), they are recused from reporting on that specific story to ensure neutrality.
Project Page Reviews
Every project page on BookNewProperty is reviewed by Vikash S, our Project Reviewer. Before a page goes live, and each time it is refreshed, he checks the starting price, possession date, RERA registration, configuration, developer details and availability against the Karnataka RERA filing and the developer’s current price sheet. Where the RERA filing and marketing material disagree, the page follows the RERA filing and says so.
The “Verified on” date shown on each project page is the date of the most recent review. Pros, cons and the verdict on each page are written to include real drawbacks, not only selling points.
