Bengaluru has emerged as the undisputed leader in India’s service exports for 2024-25, contributing $78.64 billion, or 35.05% of the country’s total. According to industry estimates, India’s top eight cities together accounted for $218.83 billion, representing 97.52% of the nation’s total service exports of $224.4 billion.
Hyderabad ranked second with $33.83 billion (15.08%), followed by Chennai at $30.36 billion (13.53%) and Pune at $25.95 billion (11.57%). The Delhi NCR region, including Noida, Gurgaon, and Delhi NCT, collectively posted $24.34 billion (10.85%).
Among Delhi NCR hubs, Gurgaon led with $11.5 billion, followed by Noida ($10.9 billion) and Delhi NCT ($1.93 billion).
Other key contributors included Mumbai ($18.47 billion, 8.23%), Kolkata ($4.59 billion, 2.05%), and Ahmedabad ($2.65 billion, 1.18%).
With Bengaluru alone contributing over one-third of the exports, India’s IT and services sector continues to remain highly concentrated in a few urban hubs, reinforcing their role as global technology and outsourcing powerhouses.
