Alkem Laboratories founder Sandeep Singh’s parents, Satish Kumar Singh and Premlata Singh, have purchased a luxury penthouse in Bandra West, Mumbai, for ₹63 crore. The transaction highlights continued demand for premium residential properties in one of the city’s most sought-after neighbourhoods.
The high-value residential unit is located in Evergreen Tower on Perry Road, a well-known luxury development in Bandra. The penthouse spans a RERA carpet area of 4,583 sq ft and has been acquired at an effective rate of around ₹1.37 lakh per sq ft. The property is positioned approximately 900 metres from the Arabian Sea and offers expansive views of the surrounding cityscape.
The penthouse has been designed as a “villa in the sky,” featuring a double-height living area and private terraces. The apartment was purchased in bare-shell condition, allowing for interior customisation after possession. Such configurations are increasingly preferred by high-net-worth buyers seeking bespoke living spaces in Mumbai’s premium residential zones.
The transaction was registered on December 15, 2025. As per registration documents, stamp duty amounting to ₹3.76 crore was paid along with a registration fee of ₹30,000. The total consideration value recorded for the deal stands at ₹63 crore.
Industry experts note that the transaction sets a notable benchmark for non–sea-facing luxury homes in the Bandra-Khar micro-market. While sea-facing properties traditionally command higher premiums, this deal reflects strong buyer interest in well-located, high-quality developments offering privacy, exclusivity, and modern architectural features.
Developed by S Raheja, Evergreen Tower is part of a growing portfolio of luxury residential projects catering to affluent buyers in western Mumbai. Developers in the region continue to see steady interest in high-end homes, driven by limited land availability, strong infrastructure connectivity, and Bandra’s status as a preferred residential destination.
Luxury residential transactions in Mumbai have remained resilient, particularly in established neighbourhoods such as Bandra West. Large-ticket home purchases like this underline sustained confidence in the city’s premium housing segment and reinforce Mumbai’s position as a key market for ultra-luxury real estate in India.
