The Greater Bengaluru Authority (GBA) has reported that approximately 1.2 lakh out of 1.4 lakh e-Khata applications submitted by flat owners across Bengaluru have been cleared without objections, based on verification of tax records and sale deeds . This indicates that roughly 85% of applicants met the e-Khata requirements successfully.
Meanwhile, around 20,000 applications were flagged due to discrepancies—largely related to under-declaration of car parking areas . Of these, only 4,000 flat owners have filed appeals so far. GBA officials have stated that each appeal will be reviewed individually and that cases with confirmed errors will be duly corrected
In response to potential confusion arising from the BBMP’s split into five new civic bodies, GBA has launched a “Know Your Ward and New City Corporation” portal. Through this tool, users can input their ward number or use a Google Maps-based interface to verify their current jurisdiction. This resource is accessible via the official bbmp.gov.in website
