The Andhra Pradesh government has accelerated the development of a 10-acre IT cluster park in Kadapa, marking a significant step in its strategy to promote balanced and region-wide technological growth. The move aims to strengthen the digital infrastructure of the Rayalaseema region and attract technology-driven investments beyond the state’s traditional urban centres.

According to official updates, district authorities have already identified the required land parcel within the Kadapa constituency headquarters. The state’s Information Technology, Electronics & Communications (ITE&C) Department has directed the district administration to complete the land alienation process and initiate the planning of essential infrastructure for the proposed park. This includes internal roads, utilities, and other support systems required to create an investor-ready ecosystem.

The upcoming IT cluster park is designed on a plug-and-play model, enabling quick occupancy for IT companies, startups, and entrepreneurs. This model ensures that basic infrastructure and administrative support are readily available, reducing setup time for incoming firms and encouraging faster operational expansion.

The project aligns with Andhra Pradesh’s broader development vision, which positions Visakhapatnam as the state’s IT and AI capital while promoting other districts as specialized industrial and innovation hubs. By distributing major development initiatives across multiple regions, the government aims to reduce economic imbalance, improve employment opportunities, and foster inclusive growth.

The Kadapa IT park also fits into the state’s larger industrial roadmap, which includes the creation of 175 industrial parks across all assembly constituencies. This expansion is expected to support emerging technology sectors, enable local entrepreneurship, and encourage private-sector participation in regional development.

With the accelerated implementation of the Kadapa IT cluster park, Andhra Pradesh aims to strengthen its technology landscape and enhance the district’s appeal as a potential centre for future digital investments. Once operational, the facility is expected to attract IT firms, generate employment, and contribute to the long-term economic growth of the Rayalaseema region.
