The Bangalore Development Authority (BDA) has announced the commencement of an e-auction process for residential, commercial, and intermediate sites across Bengaluru. The move is aimed at facilitating transparent and competitive allotment of urban land parcels through an online bidding mechanism.
According to the official notification, the e-auction will begin on January 21, 2026, and conclude on January 22, 2026, at 5:00 PM (IST). Interested bidders are required to complete their registration and submit bids within the stipulated timeline, as late submissions will not be considered.
The minimum starting bid price has been set at ₹500 per square metre, making the auction accessible to a broad range of participants, including individual buyers, investors, and businesses. The auction covers multiple site categories, providing options for residential development, commercial use, and intermediate plots suited for mixed or future development needs.
BDA has advised bidders to carefully review all rules, eligibility criteria, and terms and conditions before participating. The authority has also highlighted that the e-auction platform ensures transparency, reduces manual intervention, and allows participants to track bidding activity in real time.
The initiative aligns with BDA’s ongoing efforts to streamline land allotment processes and promote fair access to urban land in Bengaluru. With growing demand for residential and commercial sites amid the city’s expanding infrastructure and economic activity, such e-auctions are expected to draw significant interest.
Prospective bidders can access detailed information, including site locations, plot dimensions, auction guidelines, and registration procedures, through the official BDA e-auction portal. Early registration is encouraged, as the auction window is limited and competitive bidding is anticipated.
As Bengaluru continues to witness steady growth across residential, commercial, and mixed-use developments, the latest BDA e-auction presents an opportunity for eligible participants to acquire sites through a structured and transparent digital process.
