Allottees in Bengaluru’s Nadaprabhu Kempegowda Layout have raised concerns over the lack of essential infrastructure and have urged the Bangalore Development Authority to address key issues before the area becomes fully habitable. The layout, located between Mysuru Road and Magadi Road, has seen steady construction activity in several blocks, but residents say critical facilities are still missing.

According to allottees, the absence of proper footpaths across the layout has created safety challenges for pedestrians, forcing them to walk on roads alongside vehicular traffic. In several areas, utility ducts have been left exposed and are being mistaken for walking paths, increasing the risk of accidents. Residents have also pointed out that some internal roads remain incomplete, affecting movement within the layout and slowing construction work.

Another concern raised relates to unclear boundary demarcations between plots, which allottees fear could lead to disputes in the future. Encroachments near stormwater drains have also been flagged, as they could affect water flow and lead to flooding during heavy rains. In addition, the lack of basic services such as electricity, water supply, sewage connections, and street lighting has delayed many residents from moving into their homes.

Safety has emerged as a key issue, with residents reporting incidents of theft of construction materials in poorly lit areas. Allottees have requested temporary security arrangements until permanent lighting and habitation increase across the layout.

Officials from the Bangalore Development Authority have stated that a significant portion of the development work has already been completed. They have acknowledged the concerns raised by allottees and indicated that remaining infrastructure works are expected to be completed over the next few months. Minor technical and design-related issues, officials said, are being reviewed and will be addressed as part of the ongoing development process.

With several homes already constructed and more nearing completion, allottees have emphasized the need for faster execution of pending works. They have stressed that completing essential infrastructure is crucial to ensuring safe and livable conditions for future residents of the Nadaprabhu Kempegowda Layout.
