BENGALURU — Property developer Brigade Group has completed the direct purchase of a 2-acre land parcel along Kanakapura Road in South Bengaluru. The company plans to construct a high-end residential complex on the site with an estimated Gross Development Value (GDV) of roughly ₹400 crore.
Situated along one of South Bengaluru’s prime residential strips, the upcoming development aims to combine modern architecture with spaces focused on connectivity, personal wellness, and sustained investment value.
Expanding Strategic Footprint in Bengaluru Micro-Markets
Amar Mysore, Executive Director of Brigade Enterprises Limited, highlighted that Kanakapura Road has evolved into an essential expansion zone in the city. He pointed to growing infrastructure networks, enhanced transit access, and rising homebuyer interest in quality living environments as key factors behind the location’s momentum.
Mysore stated that this transaction aligns with the company’s long-term housing vision to expand its presence across high-potential micro-markets. He added that consumer preferences are shifting toward housing communities that provide convenient access to civic infrastructure while encouraging shared social experiences.
Ongoing Pipeline Expansion
The Kanakapura Road deal follows a series of real estate acquisitions by the firm across major southern markets:
- Gunjur Integrated Township: In April, Brigade finalized a Joint Development Agreement (JDA) for an 8.63-acre site in Gunjur to construct a 39-acre township valued at around ₹7,200 crore.
- Hyderabad Developments: The company secured a 5.72-acre plot via a government auction in Hyderabad and subsequently signed a JDA for a 5.6-acre parcel in Kompally with an estimated revenue potential of ₹850 crore.
With these projects underway, Brigade Group continues to build out its residential project pipeline in major Indian tech hubs.
