ElevenLabs, a multinational generative AI business, recently announced intentions to create a new office in Bengaluru as part of its expansion into India, according to CEO Mati Staniszewski. The action demonstrates the company’s commitment to bolstering its operations in one of its fastest-growing global marketplaces.
With the support of leading international investors like Sequoia Capital and Andreessen Horowitz (a16z), ElevenLabs has established a solid reputation in AI-powered speech synthesis and voice generation technologies. The company, which is estimated to be worth $6.6 billion, is well-known for creating technologies that can produce high-quality audio in several languages and clone voices.
Staniszewski claims that India has one of ElevenLabs’ biggest user bases in terms of both individual artists and business clients. In order to facilitate product localization and improve the company’s proficiency with Indic language voice technology, the Bengaluru office will function as a regional hub. Staniszewski stated, “We are expanding in India and planning to open an office in Bangalore soon.” The platform’s accessibility in all 22 official Indian languages with human-like intonation and emotion is the top objective.
In line with the quick use of AI solutions in sectors like media, education, and entertainment, the company is expanding into India. In order to improve its multilingual voice models and introduce additional region-specific innovations to the market, ElevenLabs hopes to work with regional developers and linguists.
Staniszewski also emphasized the importance of ensuring ethical AI techniques, particularly with regard to personality rights and deepfakes. He pointed out that while AI innovation must go forward, it’s also critical to develop fair laws that shield people’s voices and likenesses from abuse.
With this calculated action, ElevenLabs joins other leading worldwide AI companies that have lately increased their presence in India, such as OpenAI and Anthropic. It is anticipated that the new Bengaluru headquarters will strengthen India’s standing as a major participant in the global AI ecosystem and hasten the company’s regional expansion.
