Karnataka has taken another step forward in advancing its semiconductor ecosystem through strategic engagement with Tokyo Electron (TEL), one of the world’s leading suppliers of semiconductor production equipment. The discussions highlighted the state’s growing prominence in the global semiconductor landscape.
During the interaction, Karnataka showcased its strong semiconductor ecosystem, backed by a skilled talent pool and research-driven infrastructure. TEL shared updates on its active participation at SEMICON 2025 in Delhi and confirmed the establishment of a new development base in Karnataka. This facility is expected to focus on material discovery and improving production efficiency in semiconductor manufacturing.
Both Karnataka and TEL acknowledged the state’s potential as a hub for advanced semiconductor technologies. The two sides agreed to continue close engagement and explore collaborative opportunities that can further strengthen innovation and investment in the sector.
