BENGALURU — Leading real estate developer Prestige Group has commenced a comprehensive redevelopment of Brunton Road, located off MG Road in Bengaluru’s Central Business District (CBD). Representing an investment of approximately ₹3 crore, the private-sector initiative aims to upgrade the 800-metre key corridor using sustainable construction methods, including plastic-modified bitumen.
The project, carried out in coordination with the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP), is expected to be completed within three to four weeks.
Sustainable Road Resurfacing and Eco-Friendly Infrastructure
A central feature of the redevelopment is the application of plastic-modified bitumen. By incorporating recycled shredded plastic into the asphalt mix, the process improves road durability, enhances resistance to water damage and cracking, and reduces overall plastic waste in municipal landfills.
Civic Commitment in Bengaluru’s Commercial Heart
Brunton Road holds special significance as it houses Prestige Group’s corporate headquarters (Prestige Falcon Towers) and the Rezwan Razack’s Museum of Indian Paper Money. Beyond serving as an important gateway for business partners, investors, and visitors, the upgrade demonstrates how public-private partnerships can directly improve civic infrastructure.
Executive Director of Projects & Planning at Prestige Group, V. Gopal, noted that the company’s responsibility extends beyond property boundaries to create safer, greener, and more liveable public spaces across Bengaluru.
