AeroNero and Bengaluru Airport City Limited have signed a term sheet to establish an Innovation Hub at Bengaluru Airport City, located within Kempegowda International Airport. The collaboration marks a step toward integrating advanced sustainability and climate-focused technologies within one of India’s key aviation-linked urban developments.

The proposed Innovation Hub will function as a corporate showcase and live demonstration facility for AeroNero’s air-to-water generation technologies. These systems are designed to extract potable water from atmospheric air using advanced condensation and hybrid energy solutions. The facility is expected to support research, testing, and real-time validation of scalable water solutions suited for urban infrastructure, commercial developments, and high-consumption environments such as airports.

By situating the Innovation Hub within Bengaluru Airport City, the initiative gains access to a high-visibility, operational environment that allows stakeholders to observe technology performance under real-world conditions. The location is expected to encourage collaboration between technology developers, corporate partners, policymakers, and research institutions, supporting the adoption of climate-resilient infrastructure solutions.

Bengaluru Airport City Limited, the developer behind the airport city ecosystem, continues to position the district as a hub for innovation-driven enterprises. The master-planned development includes business parks, technology clusters, and mixed-use spaces designed to attract global capability centres, startups, and research-led organisations. The addition of the AeroNero Innovation Hub aligns with the broader vision of creating a sustainability-focused, future-ready urban ecosystem anchored around the airport.

The partnership reflects growing industry attention toward alternative water generation methods amid rising concerns around water scarcity, climate variability, and urban demand pressures. Air-to-water technologies are increasingly being explored as supplementary water sources in infrastructure-intensive environments, particularly where conventional water availability is constrained.

AeroNero focuses on developing low-carbon, decentralised water solutions aimed at addressing long-term water security challenges. Bengaluru Airport City Limited, a subsidiary of Bangalore International Airport Limited, oversees the development of the airport city with an emphasis on innovation, sustainability, and economic growth. The signing of the term sheet sets the foundation for further planning and development of the Innovation Hub at the airport city campus.
