Construction of “The Arena” has officially begun at Kempegowda International Airport in Bengaluru, with a traditional footing pooja ceremony marking the start of this landmark entertainment and experience destination. The project is being developed by Aerodome Experiences Pvt. Ltd., a joint venture between Embassy Group and Phase1 Experiences.
Located on a 6.3‑acre site at BLR Airport, “The Arena” is envisioned as a world‑class venue designed to host a wide range of large‑scale events. The development, taking place on land allocated by Bangalore International Airport Ltd (BIAL), aims to position the airport not just as a travel hub, but also as a major destination for entertainment and culture.
The Arena will feature a 6,600 sq. m. state‑of‑the‑art indoor dome with advanced acoustics, lighting, and stage systems. This indoor space will be suitable for concerts, sports, corporate events, and cultural shows. Alongside it, a 3,000 sq. m. open lawn area will be created to host outdoor festivals, open‑air events, and other large gatherings, making it a flexible, multi‑use complex built to international standards.
Embassy Group is overseeing the end‑to‑end infrastructure and construction of the venue, bringing its expertise in large‑scale real estate and urban development. Phase1 Experiences will lead the content, programming, and event strategy, ensuring the venue is fully geared towards live entertainment, sports, and experiential experiences.
For BIAL, “The Arena” represents a big step in enhancing the airport’s offerings and overall passenger experience. Once operational, the venue is expected to attract both local and international audiences, boosting footfall and engagement. It is set to become a premier entertainment hub in Bengaluru, hosting concerts, sports, corporate events, and cultural festivals, and reinforcing the city’s reputation as a leading centre for business, culture, and leisure.
