The Telangana Housing Board has announced a fresh sale of residential flats aimed at the Lower Income Group across major urban centres in the state, including Hyderabad, Warangal, and Khammam. The move is part of the government’s continued effort to improve access to affordable housing for families with limited income in well-developed localities.
A total of 339 flats are being offered under this sale. These homes are located in established residential areas with access to basic infrastructure and civic amenities. Officials stated that the flats are priced below prevailing market rates to ensure affordability for eligible buyers.
As per eligibility norms, applicants must fall under the Lower Income Group category, with an annual household income not exceeding ₹6 lakh. The housing board has clarified that income verification and document scrutiny will be carried out before final allotment to ensure transparency and compliance with guidelines.
In Hyderabad’s Gachibowli area, 111 flats are available, with prices ranging between ₹26 lakh and ₹36.20 lakh depending on unit size and location within the project. In Warangal, near the railway station area, 102 flats are being offered at prices between ₹19 lakh and ₹21.50 lakh. Meanwhile, Khammam’s Sriram Hills locality has 126 flats, with prices starting from approximately ₹11.25 lakh, making it the most affordable option among the three locations.
The flats range in size from about 450 square feet to 650 square feet and are designed to meet basic housing needs. The projects are expected to appeal to first-time homebuyers looking for cost-effective housing options in urban areas.
Applications for the flats can be submitted through the official Telangana Housing Board channels. The allotment process will be conducted through a lottery system to ensure fairness. The lotteries are scheduled to be held in early January 2026 on separate dates for each city.
Housing board officials have advised interested buyers to carefully review eligibility conditions, pricing details, and application timelines before applying. The initiative is expected to provide relief to many families seeking affordable homes while also supporting planned urban development across Telangana.
