Real estate developer Signature Global has announced plans to invest ₹380 crore in advanced earthquake-resistant technology as part of its strategy to enhance structural safety in high-rise residential developments. The investment will focus on integrating modern vibration-control systems designed to improve building stability and occupant comfort, particularly in seismic-sensitive regions such as the Delhi-NCR.
As part of this initiative, Signature Global has entered into a strategic collaboration with CECO Hirun Pvt Ltd, an Indo-Italian engineering firm specialising in structural dynamics and vibration mitigation solutions. Under the agreement, the company will deploy Hysteretic Tuned Mass Damper (HTMD) systems in its high-rise projects. These systems are engineered to control and reduce structural movement caused by wind loads and seismic activity.
According to project details shared by the company, the HTMD technology can help reduce building vibrations by approximately 20 to 30 percent. By absorbing and dissipating energy generated during earthquakes or strong winds, the system enhances the long-term durability of structures while improving comfort levels for residents in tall buildings. The technology is commonly used in global high-rise developments to meet advanced safety and engineering standards.
Signature Global plans to implement the earthquake-resistance systems across nearly 80 to 100 residential towers in its ongoing and upcoming projects. The investment is expected to be rolled out in phases, aligned with construction schedules and project timelines. The scope of deployment may be expanded further based on future development requirements and regulatory considerations.
Company leadership has stated that the move reflects Signature Global’s focus on incorporating advanced construction technologies at the design and execution stages. With Indian cities witnessing rapid vertical growth, the adoption of vibration-control systems is increasingly seen as an important element of modern urban housing, particularly in regions classified under higher seismic zones.
The collaboration with CECO Hirun brings international engineering expertise into local residential construction, supporting the integration of global best practices into Indian real estate projects. Industry observers note that such investments indicate a growing emphasis on safety-driven innovation within the residential real estate sector, as developers respond to evolving building standards and buyer expectations.
