Shriram Properties Ltd has announced a large-scale residential project in Pune’s Hinjewadi through a joint development agreement (JDA). The project will span around 0.7 million sq ft of built-up area and include residential apartments along with retail and commercial spaces, further strengthening the company’s expansion in western India.
According to the company’s official statement, the project will have an estimated Gross Development Value (GDV) of about ₹700 crore. It will feature approximately 6.5 lakh sq ft of residential space, complemented by retail and commercial components. Strategically located in Hinjewadi — one of Pune’s fastest-growing real estate hubs known for its IT corridor and improving infrastructure — the project is poised to attract both homebuyers and investors.
This marks Shriram Properties’ second major project in Pune, reflecting the company’s focus on key urban markets across India. Pune’s robust housing demand, driven by its thriving IT, automobile, and education sectors, continues to make it a preferred destination for real estate development.
Commenting on the announcement, Akshay Murali, Vice President (Business Development) at Shriram Properties, said, “Pune continues to show strong demand fundamentals and remains one of the most promising markets for residential real estate. We are excited to strengthen our presence in the city and deliver a high-quality project aligned with our customer-centric philosophy.”
The Hinjewadi micro-market has evolved into a top choice for homebuyers due to its strong employment base, expanding infrastructure, and integrated township developments. The addition of Shriram Properties’ new project is expected to enhance the area’s appeal and boost investor confidence.
As Pune’s residential market matures, developers are increasingly focusing on integrated projects that combine housing with retail and commercial amenities. Shriram Properties’ ₹700 crore development aligns perfectly with this trend, creating a well-rounded community designed to meet the city’s long-term growth prospects.
